GAY MARRIAGE

Personally, I am all for anyone wanting to marry anyone. It’s not my, nor anyone else’s, business how two (or more, if they so desire) people want to show their affection/commitment/whatever. I even take it a step further than I’m sure 99% of the rest in that I don’t feel the government should be involved with marriage in the least.

THAT SAID, when I hear people go on and on about how Obama is all about gay marriage and repealing Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, then use that as their main reason for voting O in November, I’m actually rather offended.

Why? “How could he be offended? He must be a homophobe.” No, I am offended because the right for two consenting homosexuals or whatever to get married PALES IN COMPARISON to the right for people in other countries TO LIVE. And by “live”, I don’t mean just walking to the store and buying some organic kale whilst reading Albert Camus on their iPad, but to actually breathe and/or not be blown to a billion tiny pieces by an unconstitutional drone strike our Commander In Chief personally ordered. It’s rather selfish, if you ask me.

At what point did the right for people to get married trump death, destruction, and warfare?
